Little Indian

My exceptionally talented aunty helped me make this adorable indian headdress plus another couple to use on shoots for both children and babies.  I needed a model to help show them off and was able to use this little cherub ISLA.  We were taking some shots for her second birthday with an apple theme her mother set up and even though she was a little shy with me (and I've been around her parents before her older sister, now 7, was born) we managed to get a few adorable shots with and with out the head dress.

Tooooooo cute :) :) :)

Sooo much puppy love xx

This lovely little lady is SHAR - another beautiful rescue dog through the amazing QLD Staffy & Amstaff Rescue.  Shar may not be the typical looking staffy but she had an amazing personality and is a little bit cute too.  The whole time we had our photos, she didn't make a sound, she didn't jump up, she wasn't licky or slobbery, she was simply..... a lady.  First thoughts were she was pregnant and a couple of the photos sure make her look pregnant but we've since found out it was a phantom pregnancy so no puppies for this lass but now she can be adopted to her forever home sooner.

Meet Shar and her super handsome foster brother Zeus.

Chunky in this one and you can see why thoughts were she was pregnant.

ZEUS - quite the handsome boy indeed :)

Beautiful SHAR xx

Next is Madam Gee - another total lady during her photo session.  No barking and she only jumped when she knew I had a treat to give her after being a very good girl and even then, she didn't jump on me, she just jumped up.  A beautiful girl who was a pleasure to photograph.  Gee also has a foster brother, 14 year old Henry!!  14!!!  He was a bit cute too and I had to snap to him too.

All the best to both Shar and Gee and here's hoping they are both adopted before too long.

Engagement Shoot MAGIC

I was lucky enough to be contacted from an old school friend through facebook to capture her wedding in November.  But before her big day, we got to have a quick catch up at a meet and greet engagement shoot.  We got together on a Saturday afternoon in July at Yandina on the Sunshine Coast for some of my favourite engagement shots EVER!!

Meet Jodie + Luke

Jodie and I graduated in 1998 from year 12.  Even though we weren't terribly close during school, the amazing world of social media has a way of bringing everyone together and I was really touched when she thought of me to photograph her big day.

They will make a gorgeous married couple :)

More Puppy LOVE

As I have previously said, I do some volunteer work for QLD Staffy & Amstaff Rescue whose amazing work involves saving unwanted or abandoned staffies from pounds and homes or those unfortunates who are dumped and giving them love and care until they are adopted to a new forever home.  Most of these beautiful dogs find themselves in an unfortunate situation by no fault of their own.  My small part in this process is to take some photos of these dogs to add to their online profiles to help relocate them to an appropriate home.  I do love it!  I get to meet all these lovely pups and their amazing carers while getting to show the world just why they should adopt and never shop.

Meet Buster - the smiliest dog ever and such a ball of energy.  I don't think he lasted long after his photo shoot but who could resist that face :)

This was Busters foster brother and fellow rescue dog ROCKY who was also looking for his forever home.  He was a big strong boy who left me with about 12 love bruises on my legs!  Only about 12mths old I think but a gorgeous boy.

Next we have MAX and this old man completely and totally stole my heart.  I got to spend an afternoon with him, his foster sister Rox and foster mum Lauren.  We had our photo shoot and then I just sat there with them all and listened to Max talk and talk and talk.
He was just beautiful and at 8 years young, was a very special boy.  He found his forever home in Melbourne and I'll bet he has them wrapped around his talkative paw already :)

And this sweet thing is 9 year old BONNIE.  As stubborn as she is adorable.  Chunky, lovable and cuddly, she just wanted to sit on me but how could I so no when she is this cute.  And this lucky girl had quite the new year - she is already with her forever family :)

And tomorrow, I'm off to photograph a pregnant little lady SHAR.  I will keep you posted :)
