Sophie and Clive - Forever after :)

I had the pleasure of photographing my beautiful friend Sophie and her husband Clive at their wedding in October.  I have known Sophie since we were 12 years old when her and her family moved from Switzerland to little ol' Landsborough on the Sunshine Coast. I am thrilled she found the love of her life and was so glad to be apart of her special day.

She has always been a wonderful friend and an amazingly gorgeous person, inside and out and the day of her wedding was no exception.  She was easily one of the most beautful brides I've ever seen as she wed her beau Clive at Moffat Beach.

This is my favourite shot of Sophie the blushing bride......

The brick wall pics are up there as my favourite shots. I loved the colour and the simplicity.

The reception was at her parents house in Landsborough and everything just looked amazing. There house faces the forestry and made for a fabulous back drop to a fabulous day. These are some of my favourite shots from the day although every photo is a winner as they are such a photogenic couple!!

Her mum Heather made the cake and what a cake it was!!

With her beautiful bridesmaids, Jasmine and Laure

Thanks to Sophie and Clive and Sophies parents Heather and JP, for a wonderful day and an outstanding night.  I wish nothing but complete happiness and love to the newly weds.... Congratulations Mr and Mrs Harmsworth xx

And a super big thank you to my fabulous, photographer friend Renee Skewis for helping me out on the big day as my second shooter.  You did a great job and kept my nerves to a minimum :)

Fashion Fashion Fashion

My very good photographer friend Renee Skewis asked me to come along and help out on a fashion shoot she was doing and I jumped at the chance to do something a little different.  We headed out to a vacant lot on the other side of Brisbane and did a shoot for Damsel Vintage, an online store selling quality, genuine vintage clothing.  We had a ball and I was so pleased to be able to take a few shots aswell.  The models, Shakirra (blonde) and Ashlee were so lovely and just gorgeous which made shooting them very easy.  Here are some of my favourite shots fom the day.

Such cute red shoes....

The above shot is probably my favourite.  I managed to catch it at just the right time and she looks gorgeous.

I think Ashlee looks just devine in the above shots also, such a natural!

I had so much fun assisting on the shoot and can't wait to do another!  Thanks to Renee for letting me come along and shoot and to Ruby at Damsel Vintage for also allowing me to help out :)

Jazmine the dog and Ezra

A few weeks ago, I was shooting some Halloween photos at a pet store on the Sunshine Coast and had the pleasure of meeting Jazmine the samoyed labrador and her lovely owners Ezra and his mum Maria.  Jazmine is one of the cutest dogs I ever met with her beautiful temperament and adorable white eyelashes.

We had an energy filled afternoon down at Mudjimba Beach with Jaz and Ezra as they chased each other up and down the beach.  I had the best time and am thrilled to share some of the fabulous photos we got.

These 2 are probably my favourite shots, she looks so sweet, like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth!!  They were taken before we got to the beach where she was so excited to meet all the new people and say hello to every other dog down there - too cute!

I love this one of Jaz and Ezra running along the water, they were having a ball with each other!

Maria and Ezra are wrapped with their photos and so am I.  Thanks guys for letting me spend the afternoon with you and Jaz and I can't wait to see how big she gets :)

Kara and Grant

I had the honor of being a big part of my sister's wedding recently - being a bridesmaid instead of a photographer which was a huge delight for me.  As well as invitation maker, music put-together-er plus I made the labels for the wine bottles that were the take home gifts for the guests.  I also made a wedding gift of mounted photos that everyone got to sign which I was really happy with in the end.

It was the first wedding I've been to in about 3 years where I wasn't the photographer.  But I still couldn't help myself in taking a few photos when we were getting ready.  Kara looked absolutely stunning in her dress which was made by a friend of hers who did a fashion course with Kara at TAFE some years ago.  All the bead work was hand sewn and complimented the dress perfectly.  She looked good, she felt good and she was probably the happiest I've ever seen her.

It was a lovely day down at the beach at Point Cartwright on the Sunshine Coast, even with a few hiccups (like the celebrant being an hour late!!!) but nothing could dampen the spirits of the happy couple.

These are a few of the photo I took, before the ceremony and at the reception including the cake cutting and the first dance.

Congratulations to the happy couple, my gorgeous sister Kara and her new husband Grant :)

Karen and Les

When I first moved to the Sunshine Coast at age 10, Jasmine was my first friend at a scary new school.  So I can comfortably say I grew up with her, her family and Karen, her mum.  Recently, she her and partner of the past 17 years, Les, finally took the plunge and became husband and wife in a gorgeous ceremony on the water front at Mooloolaba.  Karen looked absolutley stunning and Les looked very handsome, as they wed in front of more than 100 family and friends.  I had the priviledge of taking some photos for them and here is a selection of my favourites.  The one above is Karen with both daughters, Jasmine and Ellie (along with partners) walking away and it was just so natural for them all to be just 'hanging out' together.

Karen looking just rediant as the blushing bride.....

Below is Karen with her mum.  This is them arriving, during the ceremony and then after the cermony finished, Karen went straight to her mum for a kiss.... it was so cute!

This is a series of five that I love altogether....

This is the beautiful purple mustang that they had as the wedding car.  It was a bright and gorgeous car, perfect for them....

Their reception was held at Eve Restaurant on the Esplanade at Mooloolaba and the staff there were lovely.

Congratulations again and all the best for your future together :)

Sydney - Part II

Other than the zoo, when we were in Sydney a few weeks ago, we also went to the Aquarium.  It wasn't as easy to get good shots here, shooting through glass with so many reflections of people and lights but I did manage to get a few of the coral that I really love.  The colours were just gorgeous and such a hive of activity with little fish everywhere and all the stunning coral.

This little guy was my favourite fish - such a pretty yellow and I love the stripe going through his eye.

During the visit to the aquarium, I've realised I have a thing for sea horses.  I couldn't get enough of them!!  They are such amazing little creatures and can look so different from one another.  I couldn't get a really good photo of it because of its location, but the black one wrapped in and around the 'fan' of coral (second coral shot above) looked like it was carved out of stone, so black...... it looked like a chess piece :)

Here are random fish and an eel.  I love the fish swimming away, kind of giving you his perspective...

The dugongs were a highlight also.  Unfortunately, the underwater tunnel for viewing the dugong in the water has terrible lighting and they swim rather fast so my camera was having trouble keeping up with them but I did get a couple that once I played around with them for a while, I was really happy with how they turned out.  I love this first one; I reckon he was flirting with me!!

Other than that, I will have one last post from our tour of the harbour to come.  It wasn't a particularly fine day but I have some shots of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House that have turned out quite nicely.
