FASHION Shoot #1 - City Urban

I had the absolute pleasure to help out my awesome friend Renee Skewis in some shoots for a Thai company looking to expand in Australia.  We had so much fun and had terrific models, some I'd met and photographed before and others that were all just as delightful and fun which made the whole experience so rewarding on so many levels.  To top it all off, Renee happily let me have a shot here and there when I wasn't doing my assistant-ly duties ie holding reflectors and equipment and props but always having a ball and always loving it!!

Our first location shoot was in the City using some funky alley ways and streets.  I used my fish eye for this shoot for an added some extra and I was so happy with how they all worked out!

We started with the lovely Melissa whom I had met at a previous shoot with Renee and she is so gorgeous with that gorgeous hair and is such a super nice person.

I loved this alley way so much and I'd never noticed it before.  I say alley way buy it used by cars and delivery vehicles and people and bikes.......

Loved loved loved the painted roads..... LOVED :)

Next we had the delightful Kaylani.  I didn't get as many shots of her due to the real 'job' at hand hehe but I loved this one particularly

Kinda looks like a big eye..... and 'eye' love it hehe :)

This was our second stop along the way and I absolutely loved everything I got at this stop.  I love the wall, I loved the girls, I loved it all!!!

We met with Ashlee at this spot too, again whom I'd met and adored at a previous shoot.  I was unlucky not to get many shots of her this time round but knew I'd be seeing her again so wasn't too worried.  This one I got of her though was kinda cool with the bent ladder.

Lastly, Melissa rocked this funky door way!!

Thanks to all the ladies and to Renee for letting me tag along once more...... I had such a fun afternoon :)

Ohh...... and this is my smiling building. Makes you want to smile too huh?!

WEEK 45 - Fun Foto Friday

Again..... I forgot about my poor old blog when it came to putting up my Friday photo for this week.

This is Colleen and Joel who we did a maternity shoot for during the week.  We were on the Sunshine Coast, chasing the sun for the beautiful afternoon light.  The sun was behind clouds for such a long time that I figured I wouldn't get the gorgeous sun glare shots that I love.  But to our surprise, just as we were about to finish up, the sun came out all bright and beautiful!!  We were able to get a few snaps before it disappeared again.

I absolutely loved this shot, the way they are positioned and the way they are looking - and I gave them no instruction.  I think I was still trying to get the light right in the camera and I snapped this.  I have so many beautiful shots from this shoot that they will end up with so many shots to choose between, it may be hard.  So sorry guys, but you were too good hehe :)

FUN FOTO FRIDAY - Week 43 & 44

So its totally official, I'm pretty slack some weeks..... well..... most weeks (lets be honest) when it comes to the Fun Foto Friday.  I'm trying hard not to give up because I've some so far this year already, it would be silly to throw away all the effort.  The two photos that are featured this week (and last) are two that I did for the Canon 5 Comp.

The first is "Foam" and shooting macro - I used a shot glass in dish washing bubbles and swooshed it around then stood it in the light of the afternoon coming through the window.  It has been edited and cropped from the original but the shapes that are inside the glass where made with foam.  My hubby pointed out the trophy and I saw the bear at the bottom.  I loved the colours and how it all looked in the end.

This was my "Powder" attempt and I wasn't all the happy with it in the end.  I had to use a fast shutter and I was trying to capture both the colours as they fell but like most things, they never work the way you hope on the day!  The green looked awesome though and against the darker green background, I loved it!!

And thanks to my awesome husband Mark for his assistance and hands xx
