Pretty Little Eva

I had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous little 4 weeks old baby girl, Eva.  She had more hair than I've ever seen on a newborn and beautiful, soft olive skin.  Eva even stayed awake for the whole shoot (so as not to miss a thing I'm sure) with big beautiful eyes looking back at me in all her photos.

This is a sneak peak for mum Bridget and I hope you like them!

5 Happy Cats..... me-ow!

My husbands business partner has 6 cats that he loves and adores and that love and adore him.  I believe it all began when Mumma cat began calling his backyard home and had her first litter, followed closely by a second.  All the cats decided that his place was alright and he was also keen on the little critters, so he let them stay.

This particular afternoon, I met 5 of his 6 furry children and the easy favourite for me had to be Harry.  I've known only one other cat to talk as much and he was also a ginger like Harry but this guy could talk under water with a mouth full of fish!!!

Looks like he had something rather important to say here :)

This is brother Scottie.  The way I told them apart was that Harry was the one making all the noise!

He wasn't as friendly as Harry (Scottie had a sore foot and I was a stranger after all) but here he just looked like a lion in the bush to me.

This is beautiful Mumma Cat.  She was such an interesting mix of colours and she had really beautiful eyes.

This is Calico, also a little stand off-ish but pretty and posed long enough for me to get these couple.

Lastly was Mimi.  I've been back over since a few times and she has also become quite the talker.

M-E-O-W :)

Cinderella Wedding

Once upon a time, a pretty princess, cousin to a photographer, got married to her prince in a glorious church ceremony in Toowoomba.  The reception was to follow at the stunning Gabbinbar Homestead, about 5 hours after the end of the ceremony, allowing ample time for cousin/photographer to shoot shoot shoot before any guests were to arrive. I was asked to second shoot the day and jumped at the chance.  I gave my cards and image to Renee at the end of the day and was hoping to get them back to see how I did overall.  We had a little glitch on the post (somehow the cards were wiped and I got nothing back.... but not too worry I will get to see them all next time I venture up to see Renee).  I did however, manage to sneak a few of the last few set ups we did and this is the result.  I've also added a before and after shot, before being straight out of the camera and after being my finished and final result that I would show to the customer.

This was the gorgeous bride Stevie in her incredible Cinderella dress.  These were my last shots of the day remember and she still looks fabulous, perhaps a bit tired but she was an amazing model.

Here is the before and after

Gabbinbar Homestead had amazing, large grounds with everything from tennis courts to croquet lawns and even this old bath tub.  When we proposed to the bride that she get in, she didn't hesitate (it was clean and dry, just a few leaves) - Stevie, you totally rock!!  And then, she posed like a pro with no instruction.....
s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g :)

Croquet anyone...

I did manage to recover a few lost images from my cards and got some from the start of the day and I was in charge of flowers and rings and bits and pieces.  Stevie's bouquet was just beautiful too with every rose sparkling.

I found a little bit of a rusty wire around an old stump that I thought was a great contrast against their wedding bling!

Love Love Love :)

Thanks guys for letting be apart of your day and what a day it was.  Congratulations and all the best...... living happily ever after xx

Wedding Drums are Ringing... er... ?!?!!! :) :)

I had the utmost pleasure of photographing Tammy and Ryan again and this time it was for their b-e-a-utiful wedding at Flaxton Gardens on the Sunshine Coast.  We started our day with the bride getting ready (at another gorgeous location in the back of Montville) and then some happy snaps with the bridal party and family before we hit the road for what can only be described as a magical ceremony....  but firstly...... this is THE SHOT OF THE DAY and I'm so happy (and proud) of how incredible and "magical" it is and they look

LOVE LOVE LOVE :)

One VERY proud Dad ;)

Tammy's younger brother Dave, a place in her wedding party and special place in her heart xx

My friend, fellow photographer and second shooter for me on the day, Renee Skewis, took this super fun shot of Ryan and his boys together!!  Love it, thanks Renee!

The most gorgeous little location with perfect afternoon light to capture the new Mr and Mrs.....

Tammy is a doctor and Ryan is a drummer so we decided to have a bit of fun with some choice props...... the results

Something I was dying to try and am thrilled with the result!

I was honored to be a part of this special day and wish to thank the new Mr and Mrs Brooker for allowing me freedom to capture your day as special and as fun as you both are....
