Some BEFORE and AFTER shots

Post production is a big part of my photography process.  I strive to give my clients something that is not just a photograph, but a piece of art for their wall.  Sometimes, especially if I've gotten my settings wrong or accidentally nudged something is trying to get the best angle, my original images soc (straight out of camera) are "off" but with some magic on my computer, I can turn it into exactly what I originally saw in my head or better.  Sometimes as well, what I see isn't always what I get so some cropping here and tweaking there, I can turn what would most likely end up in the 'not using that one' bin, into one of my favourite shots from the day. 

 Here are some example of some of my before and after shots and how with a bit of patience, what I would consider rubbish, are now art for the wall.

This is a prime example of what was originally over looked by me for processing and became something amazing.  I loved this wall but while we were shooting, I couldn't quite get what I wanted so by snapping away, then moving on to somewhere better I thought it was a waste of time.  But I loved the purple background with what Ryan was wearing and was determined to get something from there.  Not too bad at all I reckon ;)

Still one of my favourite newborn shots.  Little Bree wouldn't sleep for me at all this day until I whipped out this blanket and she promptly when to sleep.  I use this blanket now with all my newborns and generally first and to date, it hasn't let me down!!

We had very little space in this house but I made the best of it and was thrilled with the results.

Just LOVE

Another of my favourite images of all time.  She was an extremely good looking girl and model for me but with just a hint of editing, it is just fabulous!

Brightening up made this one a total keeper but very little else was needed.

The clouds rolled in as we were shooting these few shots, hence, its a bit dark.  Little bit of photoshop magic and its just to die for!

Always a favourite of mine.  The only trash the dress shoot I've done so far and we had sooo much fun!!  This was one of the last shots of the day and just gorgeous!

I've always had a thing for brick walls and this one was right in the middle of my wedding shoot so how could I walk past it.  Lovely couple and lovely shot.

I had no idea this was going to be so special until I was editing and made it B&W.  In the end it looked like a starry night and I love it!

Only a very small amount of editing was needed to turn this from a little drab into totally fab.  I even have this printed on a canvas and it hangs in my office.  Love love love it!

Maternity loveliness

This is by far my favourite maternity shoot to date.  Not only were my clients just adorable but this location has to be my all time favourite, oozing loveliness.  We had such a fun afternoon capturing this gorgeous family, even when I lost me keys in the bush (thank god for dad and his sharp eye or I may still be there looking for them)!!

This pair...... So much love....... it was beautiful!

I said give mum a kiss and she couldn't kiss big enough or hard enough, it was soooooo cute!

Mum was just too stunning.......... sigh.......

It was a great afternoon and when you have amazing clients like these, everything falls into place and I remember why I do this job,

Maternity and Family Shoot

Another fun family and maternity shoot with Master M stealing the show.  Every shot he was in he had a big happy smile and for a 3 year old boy, that could be described as a miracle by some considering before that afternoon, we'd not met!! 

It was a pleasure to meet and shoot this lovely family.

McNeil Family Magic

I had the pleasure of capturing my gorgeous friend Kay Ellen for her second pregnancy with husband Trent and her first bubba Isla.  We used the same beautiful location we shot at back in 2011 when she was pregnant with little Isla see here.  A beautiful location on the Sunshine Coast and the beautiful McNeil family......

 

Now my favourite mother daughter shot ever!

 

Isla was so gorgeous and did an amazing job..... love her to bits!

I love this family shot - sometimes its easier to let them do what they like, which Isla did but I love the outcome!!

.....And *bump* will make four!!

I have had the pleasure of photographing this family last year and was thrilled to again, this time with a big baby belly.  We also had gorgeous little Mia along with glowing mum Helen and proud dad James.  We haded to the beach for some shots and were lucky to find it completely vacant, just for us.  It was a very windy afternoon and Helen short hair made a sticky up appearance here and there but all is all, we were so happy with all the shots we got, the beautiful colours in the rocks especially and the crashing water.

We started at home with a few belly shots and this first one is probably one of my stand outs for the day, I loved the colours, the earrings and Helen's expression (I think I told her I wasn't shooting her face and didn't intend to but when I was looking through my photos at home, I couldn't help but stop and love this one).

LOVED loved loved the gorgeous colours of the rocks and especially teamed with purple

After the beach we went searching for a nice field.  As we were driving away from the beach, we were driving into black storm clouds that was rapidly taking our sunshine.  By the time we got to our location, the sun had completely disappeared behind the big cloud.  We still managed to get some lovely shots in the grassy fields, even without the sun glare we were chasing.

I totally loved these family shots through the frame - just a bit of fun :)

We were packing up after this last shot and discussing when we will get together again when all of a sudden, the sun peaked its way through the dark clouds and gave us the most gorgeous light.  Even though my camera and everything was all packed back into the car and we were about to part ways, I had to get just a couple shots and what a couple of shots they were.... couldn't be happier with how they turned out.

Loved it all!!!
