WEEK 26 - Fun Foto Friday

We are now half way through the 52 weeks challenge and again I'm cheating (ohhh ahhhh).  I didn't technically take these photos this week but I did edit them and just fell in love with the colours.  I am a huge fan of bright and funky artwork and I really think grafitti is an awesome art style. 

I found these walls locally and am thinking about turning them into backdrops for photoshoots eventually but for now, they are just photos and I've also turned them into Canvas Art. 

My favourites are the top two on the left but I am a sucker for magenta yellow together, hence the business colours!!

Fingers crossed others like them as much as me :)

I have just added some new stuff to madeit.com, the all handmade site.  I've now got 11 listings with lots of colourful pieces of Canvas Art including flowers, pencils, elephants, lollies and now Grafitti.

I think Grafitti is fast becoming my favourite pieces and am thinking of adding some to my very own wall!!

I have just created a store on madeit.com with some of my canvas art panels.  The panel are all handmade by me and I have different designs and themes to suit just about everyone.  So far, I have 5 different styles up, both for kids and adults. 

I think my favourite would have to be the pencils.  I remember when I took them, I had a feeling they would be really ordinary and I had just wasted my time but to my surprise, they looked so colourful and instantly made me smile. 

Under the sea is also another favourite, the colours of the coral and the little fish swimming around give their underwater world a mysterious feel to me, like there is more going on than meets the eye!!  There's even a sea horse in one.......

Canvas Print

This is "The Gang" from a previous post, belonging to Jodie and Danny.  Jodie ordered the above storyboard as a 15x30inch canvas print.  I was trying out a new lab for my canvas printing as I'd been really happy with their photo prints.  I collected the canvas today and am over the moon with the result!!  I will get to drop this into Jodie on the weekend and know she is going to be as happy with it as I am!!

Below are a few shots of the finished product, including a corner shot to show their excellent wrap.  I also put another order in for a canvas today and can't wait to see it either.

Early Mothers Day.......

Recently on a trip to mums place on the Sunshine Coast, I took some photos of her beloved cat Bruce.  We worked out he must be going on 9 years but still looks every bit like the little grey ball of fluff I found in a park in Landsborough......... must be 9 years ago now ;)  I've always thought he looks like a lion with his fluffy mane and he loves to throw himself at your feet looking for pats and adoration.

What I did was turn the photos of Bruce into my own "Canvas Art".  Here I have made 3 (5x7inch) canvas print mounted on board.  The images are orintedon canvas paper and I have mounted them by hand.  I now also have a new page in my gallery filling you in on my own personal "Canvas Art" that so far have proved to be a huge success.  As well as the 5x7inch size, I also have 4x4inch panels, which in a series of 5 look fantastic and the more there are, the better they look.  Check out my page to see more!

Anyway, I have already given these to mum as an early mother day present and she loved them but advised me not to tell the other cat Chino:)  Lots of love mum and I hope you enjoy them xx
