Other than the zoo, when we were in Sydney a few weeks ago, we also went to the Aquarium. It wasn't as easy to get good shots here, shooting through glass with so many reflections of people and lights but I did manage to get a few of the coral that I really love. The colours were just gorgeous and such a hive of activity with little fish everywhere and all the stunning coral.
This little guy was my favourite fish - such a pretty yellow and I love the stripe going through his eye.
During the visit to the aquarium, I've realised I have a thing for sea horses. I couldn't get enough of them!! They are such amazing little creatures and can look so different from one another. I couldn't get a really good photo of it because of its location, but the black one wrapped in and around the 'fan' of coral (second coral shot above) looked like it was carved out of stone, so black...... it looked like a chess piece :)
Here are random fish and an eel. I love the fish swimming away, kind of giving you his perspective...
The dugongs were a highlight also. Unfortunately, the underwater tunnel for viewing the dugong in the water has terrible lighting and they swim rather fast so my camera was having trouble keeping up with them but I did get a couple that once I played around with them for a while, I was really happy with how they turned out. I love this first one; I reckon he was flirting with me!!
Other than that, I will have one last post from our tour of the harbour to come. It wasn't a particularly fine day but I have some shots of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House that have turned out quite nicely.
