As I have previously said, I do some volunteer work for
QLD Staffy & Amstaff Rescue whose amazing work involves saving unwanted or abandoned staffies from pounds and homes or those unfortunates who are dumped and giving them love and care until they are adopted to a new forever home. Most of these beautiful dogs find themselves in an unfortunate situation by no fault of their own. My small part in this process is to take some photos of these dogs to add to their online profiles to help relocate them to an appropriate home. I do love it! I get to meet all these lovely pups and their amazing carers while getting to show the world just why they should adopt and never shop.
Meet Buster - the smiliest dog ever and such a ball of energy. I don't think he lasted long after his photo shoot but who could resist that face :)
This was Busters foster brother and fellow rescue dog ROCKY who was also looking for his forever home. He was a big strong boy who left me with about 12 love bruises on my legs! Only about 12mths old I think but a gorgeous boy.
Next we have MAX and this old man completely and totally stole my heart. I got to spend an afternoon with him, his foster sister Rox and foster mum Lauren. We had our photo shoot and then I just sat there with them all and listened to Max talk and talk and talk.
He was just beautiful and at 8 years young, was a very special boy. He found his forever home in Melbourne and I'll bet he has them wrapped around his talkative paw already :)
And this sweet thing is 9 year old BONNIE. As stubborn as she is adorable. Chunky, lovable and cuddly, she just wanted to sit on me but how could I so no when she is this cute. And this lucky girl had quite the new year - she is already with her forever family :)
And tomorrow, I'm off to photograph a pregnant little lady SHAR. I will keep you posted :)
